Oak Floor Restoration in Linthwaite, Huddersfield

We were recently called to restore a beautiful oak floor in Linthwaite, Huddersfield. The client had considered replacing the floor entirely—but after seeing what we could achieve, they chose to revive it instead.

Before: Tired and Worn Oak Boards

Years of foot traffic, furniture scuffs, and surface damage had left the oak boards dull and lifeless. The client was looking for a natural, modern finish that brought warmth and grain definition back into the wood.

The Process

• We started with a full assessment of the wood condition and any previous finishes
• Our team carried out virtually dust-free sanding using Lagler PST® technology
• We presented a choice of sample finishes for the client to select from
• Two coats of Berger Seidle commercial-grade lacquer were applied for a long-lasting finish

The Results

The transformation was dramatic. What had once been a tired, patchy floor is now a bright and beautifully finished oak surface with defined grain and lasting protection. The client left us a glowing 5-star review, saying:
